~Singer Songwriter Composer/ Performer~
Deelee started out by performing as an acoustic/jazz/blues popular singer songwriter with musicians in London's live music circuit. She has worked as a session singer for several renowned artists and on musical projects with producers and emerging artists. Deelee has performed at several London venues and formed her first band at the age of 14. She studied at the BRIT School, where she also improved her piano playing skills and knowledge of music, she performed before record company A&R's who showed great interest in her voice and songwriting skills. She went on to perform within several other bands and then went on to develop her solo singing career.
Deelee pursued an academic path and studied at the Brit School and then pursued a degree in music and media. Since graduating, she has been doing session recordings and performing with renowned artists and musicians amongst being involved in other collaboration projects. Deelee is now working on her own original material and other musical projects with musicians and producers, alongside performing in various venues in and around London. She has performed in venues such as The Hackney Empire, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, 12 Bar, Bush Hall, The Marriott Hotel, Turnmills, Caffe Chioggia (Venice, Italy), Viva Viva, The Royal Albert Hall amongst many other private and public events.
As a singer, Deelee tends to have a voice quality that is quite stunningly mature and sophisticated, with a wide vocal range that reflects an influential spectrum of styles ranging from vocal greats such as Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Karen Carpenter, Roberta Flack, Minnie Riperton, Joni Mitchell, Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday, amongst others. Deelee's voice often catches the attention of audiences because of it's distinctive quality, and Deelee's sheer precision with words and phrasing expresses her unique delivery of emotion and intonation. Performing is somewhat like breathing to her, and is one of her greatest joys. She is in her element on stage, and also when creating songs and composing music and lyrics.
As a songwriter, Deelee's has collaborated with several emerging producers and artists, and has had material reach Semi-Finalist position for the UK Song writing (UKSC) Contest.
Deelee also teaches as a private and freelance voice coach and singing teacher. She conducts private one to one sessions under her business 'Vocal Insight™' , which consists of Singing and how the voice operates holistically. Deelee's teaching method is based around the Estill Voice Training System, and her voice sessions combine the use of her own experiential knowledge along with music theory. Deelee currently performs regularly in and around London's live music circuit with her accompanying musicians.

Deelee comes from a school of Arts and creativity. A former student of the BRIT School, she pursued her passion for music and studied Music at degree level. She continues to improve her musical skills and techniques by performing popular repertoire and occasionally studying.
Deelee has worked on several original collaboration projects, and also works as a session singer and songwriter. She made her first demo jazz recording with professional Jazz pianist and composer Roland Perrin, whilst also doing session vocals for renowned artists such as Frankie Paul, and performing around London's live music circuit with professional guitarist John Jallow (Credits: Marvin Gaye/Buddy Guy/Billy Preston C.J Lewis, amongst other professional musicians.
As a child, Deelee had been nurtured in a highly creative and musical household, her father was also musician.
Deelee learned about jazz through her singing teacher and Jazz artiste Clare Foster, which had left an impact, and inspired Deelee to develop and build upon her own style, technique and delivery.
Her sound and vocal delivery is one that is original, appealing and highly versatile.
